IRIB to present award-winning 'Damascus Time'

Award-winning flick 'Damascus Time' by Ebrahim Hatamikia is scheduled to be aired for the first time on Iran TV.  

The small screen will host the war drama on March 21 marking the demise anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab (SA), daughter of Imam Ali (AS), during Nowruz holidays.

‘Damascus Time' zeros in on security threat by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aid to Syria, is challenged in Damascus Airport.  

A number of Syrian and Lebanese actors star in the flick along with popular Iranian actors such as Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar.

Ebrahim Hatamikia’s ‘Damascus Time’ had its first international premiere at the Cannes Film Market on May 13.

This highly acclaimed movie has won numerous awards, including three Crystal Simorghs at the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Hatamikia’s latest offering went down a storm at cinemas across Iran with extra screenings added to playlist of many theaters.  

The film has recently had successful screenings in Japan, S Korea, Iraq and Syria.
